about.
Cameron Holly Dexter is a visual artist whose work explores inner worlds, cultural mythology, and the emotional lives of women through collage. Her collage practice uses vintage imagery, landscapes, and symbolic motifs to build surreal, emotionally resonant environments.
Dexter examines how ideals of beauty, leisure, romance, and freedom are reimagined, often through representations of women. Animals, celestial forms, and natural elements recur throughout her work, transforming familiar iconography into dreamlike scenes that remain open to interpretation.
Her work has exhibited at galleries and institutions across the United States, including The Patricia Reser Center for the Arts, Coos Art Museum, 1202 Contemporary, TAG (Los Angeles), and Ford Gallery (Portland). She completed a large-scale commissioned public mural for the Historical Milwaukie City Hall.
Alongside her visual art practice, Dexter is an award-winning film producer, with projects premiering at SXSW and the Tribeca Film Festival.
She lives and works in the Pacific Northwest with her partner, their husky, and four chickens.
